In May 2015, a Williamson County Circuit Court Judge suppressed statements and evidence seized from a search of my client’s vehicle. The reason was that police violated his Miranda and Fifth Amendment Rights after a routine traffic stop and canine search of his vehicle. Even though the traffic stop was merely for a broken taillight, the stop lasted more than an hour.
Passionately, my client believed that his rights were violated and was vindicated in court. Subsequently, the State asked the Court to dismiss the Case after the judge ruled in my client’s favor.
